The taste of rural India.....

i know i know ......it has been a long time since i posted.......but i feel one should write wen one feels like writing......so here it is....right from the heart !!
Ok ...lemme explain firsthand.......Kota might not be rural India......but for a man who has always lived a fast paced life (i ve a love hate relationship with tat life)in the metro cities of India...it does seem like rural...
i have had some of the most amazing experiences of my life here ..in the short period of 2 months tat i stayed @ kota...the scenic beauty of a semi-town semi-village place is quite magnificient for a person born out of a concrete jungle...n I congratulate myself on the decision of changing my summer internship project from the one based in Noida, delhi to here in KOta, rajasthan(company: DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd). good job..for once:) ...Abhay !!
the sad part first...the heat here is unbearable..i faced heatwaves n temperatures over 47 degrees... add to that i was workin in a chemical plant....so the magnitude of the heat was increased manyfold....n one can imagine my plight.....my frnds r unable to recognise me ..as per the latest pics tat i posted on flickr n orkut !!
the encounters tat i had in Kota(not the gangster types plz)...i would need a blog post each to describe them....quite an enrichin experience...
-i had the cheapest possible whiskey in the dungiest place ever possible to exist on planet Earth...combined with dirty glasses(were those glasses anyway ??)...n well...some dirty people as well !!
-i couldnt resist swimmin in a carbide-filled grennish-colored swimmin pool....
-saw a giant lizard which i thought to be a crocodile...thanks to my frnd chaitanya from IIFT for improvin my knowledge on flaura n fauna !!
-i m sure i can now write a Phd level thesis on the restaurants in Kota.....i guess i visited tem more often than the factory where i worked...P....veg/non-veg/specility restaurants...name it n u got it !

cuttin things short........a nice n refreshin change from the daily rigors in the routine life I have now......would look out for more such interestin changes ....n keep u updated !!
