The new World T20 Champs:Pakistan

Today pakistan beat sri lanka by eight wickets in a battle of two asian cricket powerhouses, to lift the ICC World T20 championship. This is pakistan's first world cup trophy in any format in 17 yrs, the last bein their World cup victory in 1992.
Goin through a political turmoil inside the country and their economy on the brink of a collapse, Pakistan made amends of their last yr's defeat in the finals against India. the victory must act as a shot in the arm, after the country's international image took a huge beating with the shootout at the Sri Lankan players, lettin to Pakistan being debarred from hosting the next World Cup matches in the sub continent( along with India, Sri Lanks and Bangladesh).
It was once again Shahid Afridi, man of the match in the semi finals against South Africa, whose all round show with the bat n ball, swung the contest in Pakistan's favour, earning him another well deserved man of the match award. He has probably the player who has done most injustice to his talent in the cricket world, and it was nice to see him regain his touch with the bat(and he has been the most useful bowler for Paskistan in the last couple of yrs, apart from Umar Gul).
I have always felt tat Afridi is potent wen he bats up the order, n its nice to see him regainin his confidence in battin up the order.
heres hoping tat tis victory would sooth the war-torn population of the country to a small extent,
and give tem some reason to be happy !! After all, cricket aims to promote unity and harmony in the world !
Many congratulations, Pakistan !
